New Exhibit: Motawi Tileworks

We have opened yet another new exhibit this year! This was our fifth opening in 2010. Motawi Tileworks opened last night to an enthusiastic crowd.

If you haven’t been to see us yet, I wanted to show you a preview of one of the great things on display. Our gorgeous fountain was built for this exhibition by the Motawi Tileworks. The tile in the background is called “Tapestry Wallpaper”. The fountain stands almost 6 feet tall and will be on display through mid-June. Motawi Fountain at AANM

Founder, Nawal Motawi has Egyptian heritage and hails from Ann Arbor, Michigan. We are very pleased to be showing her work because it introduces a new art style into our repertoire. Nawal is very fond of the Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau movements of the early 20th century, which are reflected in a great number of her tiles.

There’s a lot more to say about this exhibit so please follow our feed to get the new updates!
